HELP WANTED
Rocktoberfest is in need of
NEW LEADERS. After 13 years of dedication to St. Barbara and Rocktoberfest a few of our team members wish to pass the torch to the next leaders of Rocktoberfest. Though we have throughly enjoyed our time bringing the festival to our parish and community it's time for us to step aside and let someone else take the reins. It is critical to note without these positions filled the festival
may cease to continue. Please pray for guidance as you think about fulfilling these important roles.
The following positions are available:
- FESTIVAL STEERING CHAIR
The primary role of the Steering Chair is to lead, communicate and promote all areas of the festival necessary for a successful event. To encourage a spirit of cooperation and understanding so each TEAM member works together in planning a fun and festive Rocktoberfest.
Collaborates with steering members who are responsible for the following areas, adult and family games, food and beverage concessions, entertainment, marketing communications, sponsorship, bid n buy, grounds and sponsorship. Chair also communicates with Chairs and Captains to communicate responsibilities in their key areas.
- FESTIVAL GRAPHICS LEAD
Role of the Graphics Lead is to establish the annual logo and general design of the marketing materials and signage needed for Rocktoberfest. All print related graphics and advertising (festival shirt, signage, external flyers, communications letters) are to be developed or updated as needed. This role is critical to the overall communication, look, tone and feel of the Rocktobfest. Graphics lead will work with multiple areas and team members of the festival in helping provide consistent messaging. Experience using Adobe Illustrator or InDesign and having a working knowledge of printing is recommended.
- SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
The Social Media Manager will work with the Graphics Lead and Festival Chair to help communicate details of the festival both internally (parish) and externally (public). Communications will utilize all forms of social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc), the St. Barbara website and App as well as public calendars, and printed advertisements. The Social Media Manager will work the the graphics lead as needed/required.
- FESTIVAL GUIDELINES MANAGER
Festival Guidelines Manager will work with all Chairs and Captains and Steering members to keep rules and guidelines for each booth/area up to date on the website.
- SPONSORSHIP CHAIR
Sponsorships are a CRITICAL to the success of the festival. Rocktoberfest relies on our community sponsors to help offset the cost of the goods and service needed. Sponsorship Chair can work with the Graphics Lead in developing the communication letters to be sent. Chair will communicate with potential sponsors in helping to raise awareness and sponsorship funds.

We are looking to fill these positions within the next 30 days. Again, without these critical positions filled the festival cannot proceed. The festival season has actually begun for 2025.
