Deacon Bernard Kaiser
384-8592
Deacon Bernie Kaiser has served as a deacon for St. Barbara Parish since 1985 and a member of this parish since 1976. Having grown up in St. Aloysius Parish in a family of 14 children, Bernie learned early the value of being of service to others. Besides being married to his wife Linda for over 45 years, Bernie spent his professional career as a credit counselor, assisting people with their budgeting problems and acting as an intermediary between those in financial difficulty and their creditors. As a deacon, Bernie performs many invaluable services in our church community. He gives homilies and assists at Sunday Mass, performs Baptisms, witnesses weddings, and leads prayer and Communion Services. He is also available for spiritual guidance and the initial stages of marriage counseling. As we have all witnessed, Bernie is a man of deep faith who is happy just quietly serving the people of St. Barbara in whatever way he can.
